Lujon
|
The Lujon "lew-john" is a fascinating 20th century percussion instrument. It was invented by William Loughborough in California in the 1950s. Possibly less than 50 exist in the world. I began making Lujons on special order for a concert that featured music by the composer George Crumb when no Lujons were able to be found here in Boston. Since then I've made several more of them and am very glad to be a premier maker of this wonderful, and basically unknown, instrument.
Two and six pitch Lujons are available. Shipping: Free delivery within 50 miles of Boston. Within 48 US states $150 crating/shipping/insurance Alaska and Hawaii $200 crating/shipping/insurance International Shipping - contact |
